Sharing the stories of interesting women and bringing them to life on the canvas

Ethel’s Girl Friday – Brantley

Name: Brantley

Occupation: Account Executive at Yaupon Brothers Tea and Beer-tender at The Red Pig Brewery

Passionate about and why? I guess I’m pretty passionate about beverages! Selling tea in the day and beer at night. But really being a part of two businesses intent on making a difference in our community is really special to me.

Any special activities or hobbies? My favorite thing in the world is spending time with my pups, Pepperoni and Rigby. I’m also an avid reader and love a good paint-by-numbers.

Do you have a mentor? I would have to say my bosses are my mentors! They have built their businesses from the ground up and I learn so much from them every day.

Who is a female that you admire and why? How about 3? My mom, sister, and grandma are some of the toughest ladies I know. They have the amazing ability to handle the toughest situations with such strength and grace. I can only hope to be half as badass as them.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? . I really like bread.

Do you have a favorite artist or author? I have always loved the author Haruki Murakami. Recently I’ve really been enjoying the illustrator Gemma Correll! She makes comics about mental health and dogs.

How do you see yourself at 40? …at 70?At 40 I hope to be running a lil bar with my husband Bobby, serving fancy drinks and yummy food to all our friends. At 70 I see myself sitting on the porch of our cute cabin with a cup of tea surrounded by rescue pups.

What do you love most about yourself? I love my ability to find the positive in any situation. Life is short and I plan to enjoy it as best as I can!
